Editorial Policy

Nerdrassil is an independent publication about games and the worlds around them. Our goal is to publish useful reporting, criticism, and analysis with a clear point of view while making the origin of factual claims easy to verify.

Sources and attribution

News and analysis should link to the most direct available source: official announcements, patch notes, public filings, interviews, or first-party documentation. When another publication breaks a story, we credit and link to that reporting. Quotations must identify the speaker and their source. A source name without a link is not a substitute when the referenced material is available online.

Reviews and hands-on coverage

Reviews and previews are based on first-hand use. Where relevant, the article identifies the platform, approximate time spent, review conditions, and whether a game or product was supplied by its publisher. Receiving access or a review copy does not guarantee coverage or influence the conclusion.

Opinion and independence

Analysis and opinion are clearly written in the author's voice. Editorial conclusions are not sold to publishers, developers, or advertisers. Sponsored or affiliate material, if introduced, will be labeled prominently and kept distinct from independent editorial judgment.

Images and other media

Images and video are used to identify, document, or discuss the work covered by an article. Captions and sources should provide useful context and identify third-party material when that origin is relevant. Nerdrassil does not publish AI-generated images in its articles. Images are sourced from identifiable official or editorial material, optimized without enlarging low-resolution originals, and remain the property of their respective owners.

Corrections and updates

Factual errors are corrected as soon as they are verified. Material changes should update the article's modification date and explain what changed when the correction affects the meaning of the story. Readers can report an error at contact@nerdrassil.com.

AI and automation

Automation may assist routine production tasks, but it does not replace editorial responsibility. The named author is accountable for checking facts, sources, quotations, and the final text. Material use of generative AI that affects the substance of an article should be disclosed to readers.
