Privacy Policy

Nerdrassil (“we”, “us”) is a static publication with no reader accounts. You do not need to register or submit personal details to read nerdrassil.com. This policy explains the limited data our providers process and the choices available to you.

Information you provide

We receive personal information only when you choose to contact us, such as your email address and the contents of a message sent to contact@nerdrassil.com. We use it to respond to the request and do not sell it.

Essential hosting and security

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, request headers, security signals, and server logs to deliver pages, prevent abuse, and maintain the service. This processing occurs independently of the optional choices below. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Privacy choices storage

The site stores your analytics and external-media choices in your browser under nerdrassil-privacy-choices. This record is necessary to remember a refusal as well as an acceptance. It contains the choice, a policy version, and the time it was saved. It stays on the device until you change it, clear site data, or we require a new choice after a material policy change.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics is disabled by default. Its library is downloaded only after you allow analytics. When enabled, it can use cookies and similar identifiers to measure pages visited, approximate location, device/browser information, referral source, and reading patterns. Nerdrassil uses this information to understand and improve the publication, not to identify readers by name.

Google processes the analytics data under its own terms and privacy practices. Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy. Refusing analytics does not restrict access to any article.

Optional external media

Articles may include YouTube videos as attributed editorial sources or evidence. The player is replaced with a local notice until you allow external media. If you load it, your browser connects to YouTube and Google may receive technical data or show ads under their policies. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed domain, disable autoplay, and provide a direct source link with the channel credit.

Advertising

Nerdrassil does not currently load advertising scripts or request personalized ads. An ads.txt declaration identifies the authorized account but does not itself place or load an ad. Before advertising is enabled, we will use a Google-certified consent management platform where required, update this policy, and provide the applicable advertising choices.

Change or withdraw your choices

Use the Privacy choices link in the footer at any time. You can allow or refuse analytics and external media independently. Withdrawing analytics clears accessible Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page without loading the analytics library. You can also clear or block site data in your browser.

Children's privacy

This general-audience publication is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We will update the date above when the policy or underlying behavior changes materially. A new privacy-choice version may ask readers to choose again.
